Q:  Will my son or daughter have to tryout this season to play ball?
A:  In the T-Ball Division, a player will NOT have to go through our player evaluation process. For all other TCLL Baseball Divisions, ALL registered players not on a coaches pre-select list who wish to play in the Spring 2010 season MUST attend and complete the evaluation process.

Q:  When and Where will the Player Evaluations take place? 
A:  Player Evaluations will take place on Saturday, Feb 6th & Saturday, Feb 13th at the practice fields located on North Colony, near the police station & recreation center.  

Q:  Will trophies or medals be given to players at the end of the season?

A:  Yes.  All T-Ball players will receive trophies.  In the older divisions, trophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place.

                               
Q:  Does The Colony Little League have a website where I can fill out the necessary paperwork before coming to The REC Center to register? 
A:  Yes, the web address is:  www.thecolonylittleleague.org  (NOT .com) Forms can be located under the “Forms Link”.

Q:  Who can I talk with?  I have a complaint about registration!
A;  You can call the league’s phone number 972.916.0330…or go to the website and email one of the league’s volunteer board members…email addresses can be located when you click on the “contacts link”. 

Q:  What do I do if I DO NOT want my son or daughter to play for a specific coach? 
A:  Please note that on the players registration form, or attach a separate note to it.  You must give specific reason why you don’t want your player playing for a particular coach.

Q:  My son or daughter is NOT league age 4, but they are 3 ½ years old…can I sign them up to play T-Ball?
A: The league’s “Player Agent” will review all player registrations on a case by case basic and make a decision based upon the best interest of the registrant & league. 

Q:  I want my son or daughter to play for a specific coach, will TCLL guarantee that? 
A:  Baseball:  No, not in any of our baseball divisions. 
A:  T-Ball:  Yes,  T-Ball Players are allowed to request to play for a specific team / coach & those requests are usually met.  We simply cannot guarantee it will happen 100% of the time.

Q:  How often do the teams practice during the week? 

A:  It varies by coach & division, but most teams will practice once or twice during the week & could play up to 2 games during a week. 

Q:  How many games do the teams play during the week? 
A:  Teams are scheduled to play 14 games during a season. Games that are cancelled due to inclement weather, may be rescheduled.  During the Spring Season, players are guaranteed to play a minimum of 12 games.

Q:  When do players get uniforms? 
A:  Players will (usually) receive uniforms by no later than 2-3 days prior to their first ballgame of the season.  The league does everything it can to try to have uniforms 5-7 days before the start of the season, but that is not always possible.

Q:  When will I receive a game schedule? 
A:  Game schedules should be posted & or communicated by the players head coach 4-7 days prior to the start of opening day, this year April 4th. Always check the website for the most up to date information: www.thecolonylittleleague.org

Q:  Will games or practices be scheduled on Wednesday’s or Sunday’s? 
A:  TCLL does not schedule any games on Sunday’s.  Practice Schedules are selected by the Field Manager or Head Coach of a team prior to the start of a season.

Q:  Does TCLL offer registration online or do I have to register at the REC CENTER?
A:  Yes, TCLL offers returning players the option of registering to play ball online.  ALL first time or NEW players MUST register at The Colony Recreation Center.
